What is NJHS?

Picture
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an organization for students that are in the grades of 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th.  It is based upon 5 pillars of character:

-Scholarship: Making a commitment to learning new things
-Service: Being willing to help those in need, without expecting any reward or recognition
-Leadership: To be the example wherever you are, participating in class, and sacrificing your interests for the interests of others
-Citizenship: Taking responsibility in your home, community, state, or even nation
-Character: Maintaining the part of you that makes you different from others, striving to make the right choices

As a member of the NJHS, you must uphold all of these qualities.

The NJHS and its members strive to be an example to fellow students and to the world by helping others in service projects, taking leadership positions when possible, and even maintaining a 85% grade point average.  NJHS is the next stepping stone in a student's life by helping to build confidence, and learn to be a better leader.
